Todd was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on the 30th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1971. He began his hunting career at age 12, and enjoys hunting and fishing to this day. His first hunting season was a memorable one. He would allow a 180 class whitetail to pass by without firing a shot.
8 years would pass, before Todd harvested his first whitetail. He would become known as the “mercy hunter” in camp, due to the buck being injured from a automobile collision.
While stationed in Tennessee, with the Navy, Todd began turkey hunting on a friend’s family farm near north central Tennessee and took his first and second spring gobbler in the spring of 1991.
The summer of 1991, Todd joined his squadron on the USS Ranger in the Persian Gulf, to complete Operation Desert Storm. Upon returning to home port in San Diego, California, Todd began looking for places to hunt in California, he located areas for hunting turkey, Blacktail and antelope, thus beginning a successful career hunting on the west coast. In the spring of 1992, Todd would harvest his first gobbler while in flight.
During 13 years living in California, Todd would take a total of 3 gobblers, miss 2 B&C class antelope, and taking 2 forkhorn Blacktail with the bow.
Todd returned to his hometown in Pennsylvania in 2004 and has been enjoying several successful hunting seasons. Todd harvested his first archery whitetail buck in 2005, with an unintentional head shot.
Todd would harvest his first Pennsylvania gobbler in 2006 while hunting with his friend from the Army, they would harvest a pair of gobblers opening day of the 2006 season. During the spring turkey season for 2007, Todd harvested his largest gobbler ever on the last day of the season. The gobbler would tip the scales at 17 lbs 8 oz and sported an 11 inch beard with 1 inch spurs. Later this same year he would harvest his first antelope in Wyoming, which field scored 75 inches B&C.
During the 2007 PA rifle deer season, Todd would take his largest whitetail to date; harvesting an 8 point with a 17 inch spread on the second day of the season.
Todd is always looking forward to the upcoming hunting season. Planning hunts for elk, mule deer and antelope hunts in several states.
Todd currently participates in local and national 3D archery shoots, as well as 600 round spot shoots, he is currently Pro Staff for various other outdoor related companies. Todd enjoys using all methods of hunting, but archery is his passion. He loves the challenge and excitement archery hunting provides each season.
