Would like to have opinions on hunting for Mule Deer around Colstrip [BMA's 171, 178 or 186]; and, northwest of Ekalaka [BMA's 442 & 448]. Guess the real question is, "As non-resident hunters, which would be the best place for us to concentrate our efforts?" Appreciate all the help.

Am considering hunting mule deer in southeast montana--rifle hunt toward the end of season. Have somewhat narrowed the area down to around Powder River or around Ashland. Any opinions on these areas; and, info about how to hunt these areas would be appreciated. Since I am a non-resident...
