    Masks required on federal land

Either way he's still right- Biden is a joke. No doubt. I don't think anyone can disagree with that. Anyone who voted for him is a complete idiot.

How many of you will get the Covid shot?

My father in law in California has it right now. He's obese and 66 years old. He says it's not as bad as a cold he had last year. He's just a little tired and that's it. Hasn't lost his sense of smell, or anything else. Just tired. No big deal. It's not something to be scared of. We need to get...

How many of you will get the Covid shot?

I won't be getting the vaccine, nor will my wife or two daughters. This thing is not as scary as they want us all to believe. I'm not sure why I'd get this vaccine when I never get the flu vaccine. And, I never get sick, never even get the slightest cold. Never a cough, runny nose, stuffed up...

    338 Win barrel length

My 338 has a 24 inch barrel but I've read that there's no advantage to a 24 inch over a 22 inch in the 338 Win. Mag. Or, they say even a 20 inch barrel is just fine in the 338. So it mostly depends on what feels best to you.

    Scope for 22-250

Depends what your budget is. A really good scope for the money is the Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-14x42. It can be found right now on sale for $190. I just got one, but I got mine as a package deal on eBay with a Fullfield II 3-9x40 for $240. I think those are still available on eBay if you want two...

    12 elk points. which unit?

But that's understandable because all the seasons you see in the Hunt Planner are 2019 seasons. This is one reason why the elk draw was pushed back to May. You can now modify or withdraw your application up to May 8th so if you don't like the hunt you applied for after seeing the 2020 seasons...

    Rethinking Deer Gun

What bullets are you using in the 30/06? Try going lighter, 150 grain or even 130 grain. Being a handloader allows you a lot more flexibility than those who shoot factory loads.

    Antelope success thread

I guess what I was trying to say is that the 1/2 mile restriction isn't only with type 6 tags. Type 7 tags also have the same restriction in some areas.

    Antelope success thread

Type 6 doesn't always mean you can hunt the entire unit. This year my daughter had a type 6 tag for area 77 and it had the 1/2 mile from irrigated land restriction. And the year before I had a type 6 tag for area 83, and it also had the same restriction. I do agree that they should make it more...

    Youth points question

Points are points. The points you get as a youth are the same you get as an adult, only cheaper! I'm buying deer, elk, and antelope points for my daughter. Don't even know if I'll use all of them, but it's worth it when they're only $10 each.

    BALLISTIC CHART

I would suggest being about 2 inches high at 100 yards. Being almost 4 inches high puts your bullet even higher at 200, and that's just too much, in my opinion. That is unless your closest shot while hunting will be 300 yards. But for me it's easier to think about holding a little high for the...

    Reloder-16, Reloder-22, Reloder-26 Q&A

I'm getting 3100 fps with my 270 Win. using RL26 and 140 grain Nosler Accubonds and great accuracy. Pretty impressive stuff. My previous load I used prior to using RL26 I was getting 2850 fps with H4831.

    Reloder-16, Reloder-22, Reloder-26 Q&A

I've tried both RL16 and RL26 in my 270 Win. and my 30/06. Either powder will work in either cartridge, but the 16 Is best in the 30/06 and the 26 in the 270, in my opinion. Actually with lighter bullets in the 270 the RL16 might be the better option, but I haven't tried it, since I only shoot...
