Algonquin park trip summer of 2014. Our canoe is the far one. We carried food in buckets and gear in packs. Everything had to be carried over the portages, so we tried to keep it reasonable. This being our first trip we still brought lots of gear we could have left behind. We will know better next time. I was sure glad to have my takedown bow saw and GB small forest axe though. It rained for 3 days before we arrived and for 2 days while we were there. It was sure nice to be able to process wood and get to the dry stuff for a fire each night. We should have had an extra tarp or poncho to build a wood shed with, we just took what we needed. That's how we learn I guess.
