Another classic example of how someone with a soapbox uses their voice to try and push a personal agenda by taking pieces of facts to support what they believe to be "right". People who live in states where the wolves were re-introduced have been dealing with these twits for years. They usually refuse to acknowledge any real data since it won't support any of their pathways to the goal they are searching for, which is to abolish hunting in most cases.

Holy crap, another prime example of why I cancelled my RGJ subscription long ago. I don't even know where to start so I will just keep it at that.

What an idiot. The federal money comes from the Robertson-Pittman tax. It does target some items that are used by non-hunters but the majority are hunters and fishermen. The coffers would be empty if not for sportsmen.

You notice she only points to hunter revenue from the bear hunt specifically. Just like Timmy said, picking and choosing whatever data proves their point.

We really do need to unite as sportsmen and fight back. I trap and hunt bear and I've been dealing with these emotionally unstable types for several years now. The bear hunt pushed me to the edge, Carl Lackey has fantastic scientific proof yet they denie it. Katherine Bricker is enemy #1 when it comes to stopping bear hunting and ALL hunting. The majority of these bleeding hearts are transplants, they are attacking the smallest majority first, trappers and Houndsmen. Once they get what they want they will never be happy, they'll attack the next tier up. No matter what you hunt or fish we really do need to stand together to protect our rights as sportsmen. Show up to commission meetings and be heard, it helps.

I do have Facebook and I voiced my opinion and shared it. More people need to see this flat out lie, I'm a little ticked off!

She started off good in the first part of the first sentence...then fell of her rocker. Science backs predation removal and rational thinkers managing a herd.

They divide and conquer and it works. THey did it here in California with the hounds. Regardless of what we believe we are all on the same team. We hunt and fish therefore we are all on the same team, we are all trying to get to the same "end". Keep up the good fight.

She is a fool but dont under estimate her. as we are living our lives and passing down family traditions of hunting and respect for the outdoors the antis are 24-7 thinking how to stop hunting look at all the key words she uses to play to the harts of none hunting peps. There are dems in office that are pro hunting but im not sure they cant trusted anymore.

I agree she's an idiot, most don't realize it though. The artical said there are 2.5 million residents in Nevada, Las Vegas area holds 2 million of the that population. I hate to say it, but the future doesn't look good for folk like us. We need to get the city folk on board with our lifestyle to keep things in check, not an easy thing to do.

I have non-hunting, gun owning inlaws that live in Portland. I try to educate them nearly evertime I see them to keep them in check about hunting issues, they are very uninformed otherwise. I can't imagine what people who never have been exposed to hunting or know someone who hunts thinks. Probably the same thing as the crazy lady the wrote the article. Vote people, make sure your friends do to!

Yeah the problem with NV is that all of the new growth and city pop came from the communist republic to our west who love bears, kitties, and feral horses. I've got public land right behind my house and count at least 5 Prius's per day driving out on the dirt road to feed the horses. I went out to shoot my bow this morning and got molested by horses who thought I was out there to feed them. No joke there is a lady who puts bales of alfalfa in the trunk of her car and lets the horses eat out of it like a feed trough. Drives me nuts.

My mom is part of the wild horse gang and I tell you they are lunatics. I always tell my mom if I could shoot wild horses I would blast them and make them into dog food. We have 18,000 in the state of Nv. I am bad, I sometimes honk or rev the motor by them lol

Funny story time. Same horse feeding lady two years ago. A buddy and me are out shooting our bows out by Sage Hill, public land open space for miles not a problem. So there is a group of horses about half a mile away in the exact opposite direction that we are shooting. Keep in mind we are shooting in a large flat with our targets in front of a dirt berm. This lady comes flying in out of nowhere in her old hose-feeder mobile screaming at us that we were shooting illegally and we pose a danger to the horses (half a mile away behind us). She tells us she is calling the sheriff and we tell her to go right on ahead we would love her to. Long story short she sat there about 20 yards from us repeatedly calling 911 and the sheriffs office for about 30 min while yelling at us while we calmly kept shooting. No one ever showed up but I really wished they did so I could have shown them the bale of hay in her trunk.
