I'm considering going on a dove hunt that requires non-toxic shot. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for a load? I will be shooting 12 & my son will be shooting a 20.

Thanks, Bryan

I really like Federal #7s, patterns very well out of my benelli (stock and Carlesons full chokes). I've also had good luck with Kent product. My dad and younger brothers shoot 870s, and Remington brand shells pattern well out of them. Mostly though, we shoot whatever is on special at Wal-Mart haha. Non toxic and lead dove load pattern remarkably similarly to each other though!

Just get some steel shot. #6 should work.

The cheaper stuff should pattern well cause the velocity will be in the 1250-1300 fps range.

2-3/4" #6 walmart specials kill a lot of doves for me. The xpert stuff is typically dirt cheap so that's what I usually buy as well.
