Federal Judge Restricts Wolf Trapping in Idaho to 'Protect' Grizzly Bears

A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that Idaho's current wolf trapping regulations pose an unacceptable risk to the state's grizzly bears.

While the decision restricts how Fish and Game manages wolf trapping seasons, it does not affect other state management authorities to address wolf predation on livestock and backcountry elk herds and other objectives identified in Fish and Game’s Gray Wolf Management Plan.

Call me a sissy but I don’t like to hunt where I can be hunted! That being said, I have hunted out west but only seen a few Black Bears and one Mountain Lion.

It's the ones that you don't see that you have to worry about. Catch the news story about a couple brothers who were just attacked by a mt. lion in California. One 21 year old was killed, and the 18 year old escaped after getting mauled in the face.

Here we go down the court cycle again on all of this mess. It's going to be years and years of disasters and fighting in courts.
