Do I understand process correctly?
You enter with 3 unit choices.
If application is drawn.
They look at 1st choice. If tag is available you draw the tag.
If not they look at 2nd choice. If tag is available you draw the tag.
If not they look at 3rd choice. If tag is available you draw the tag.
If not you you are refunded your tag only fee.

So you should always list the hunt number with what you think will be the smallest odds first.
Am I correct?

I'm not totally sure how NM draw works, but I would list the unit that I wanted to hunt first no matter what the odds are.

Then for the rest, I would put down units that I would settle for. But if their draw is anything like other state draws all the tags go in the first draw except for lesser units or ones that have access problems.

Yes, They look at the first three choices if they draw your name/number. The first choice of the three that is available in the order you put them down you will draw. If none of your choices are available, they will move on to the next person.
