Man, that's a long drive! It will take me about the same amount of time to get to Utah but I'm flying from New Zealand! Good luck and hope you get a monster buck.

I honestly enjoy the drive out west. It is a time of deep thought and singing at the top of lungs along with the radio. I love the looks on peoples faces. They must think I'm crazy! It also gives me time to go over my gear in my head, stop if I forgot anything and decide if I'm going with plan A, B or C when I get there based on weather conditions. I've only hunted at 9k feet or less but I felt it helped me get adjusted as I slowly increased altitude.
