Well a friend and I hunted unit 16 this week. We finished up sat . So we decided to drive down to 67 to scout for next year as I have 5 pp.'s. Underwhelmed would be an understatement .
We saw very few antelopes. Only Two fair bucks, mid 70's
I'm glad I didn't burn 5 points there this year.....

It'll actually get worse there before it gets better, they had a big die off apparantely and the biologist didn't see any 2 1/2 year old age class bucks in his survey this year so he said it'll be really bad for mature bucks in 2-3 years and then get better.

I drove through some of 67 and didn't see anything big either. I hunted a unit near 67 and only saw a couple of big ones (75 ish). I hunted some during the 3rd week of the season and noticed that there were still many other hunters out. I wonder if people didn't fill tags early and are still searching for a big one? I've read some other posts on different forums where other people in that area of Wyoming had a similar experience with not seeing many big ones.

Herds in that region, not just 67, have been down the last couple years. They've been cutting the number of tags across the region for a few years in a row now. Like 30Hart said, it will take some time for the animals to rebound.

I hunted 67 this year and shot yhe biggest buck I could find. 77". Seen a dozen or so that went 70-75. Scouted 2.5 days before season but still didnt get to scout as much of the unit as I wanted. 1 thing I learned is that ill never hunt opening weekend again...wow

I spoke with the game warden in unit 67. He said he noticed that more NR hunters are hunting later in the season now.

I guess the moral is don't burn 5 points with out putting boots on the ground.
