Well I waited 7 years and finally hunted 49. I shot my bull on Tuesday night. He was right at timberline with 6 cows. I am not sure the tag was worth 6 points but it is a good unit and I saw lots of elk. I didn't see the mature bulls I thought I would see. I saw them on previous scouting trips but with the rut all but over they had already moved to the dark timber. That being said I am extremely blessed and now have elk steaks for dinner.
