Ultra knight daypacks

I am 68 year old longtime Eastman's subscriber. Me knees and hips are beginning to tell me "enuf already" but I still hunt the most rugged areas in Oregon for elk and mule deer. I am in decent shape but parts do begin to wear out. Two years ago I had Weatherby build me a custom a Ultra Light .300 cal. Mark V which is about 3 pounds lighter than my old Deluxe Mark V..... Now I am looking for a quality light weight daypack.. Looking at the Tenzing TC1500 and the Eberlestock Mini Me. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions? Thanks.

I have the eberlestock and if it's not overfilled it's good. I have found if you get carried away and put to much weight or bulk in it, that the minimal support straps and belt are very uncomfortable. It is great for hauling the bare essentials, but if you need more I'd move up to the X1A or a similar size pack. The comfort of the better straps and belt is definitely worth the weight.
That's awesome that your still powering on! I can only hope to be able to come close to that at your age. Good Luck with your hunts this year!

The Diablo is another good pack from Badlands. It has enough of a suspension to carry heavy loads better but is also still relatively lightweight. The capacity is right around 1900. It also has the hypervent suspension which allow better air circulation on your back, important for folks like me that sweat a lot. There is also the Stealth, which is what I carry. About 1700 cubic inches and it weights next to nothing (34oz.), but it doesnt carry as much weight as comfortably as the Diablo or Superday. I also know someone who has some great deals on them :)
