Second Big Game Season

For the last 2 days the hunters are here! 2nd season open Saturday and I have seen lots of hunters in town. Was in Big R yesterday afternoon and they were lined up getting their OTC Bull Elk tags. Weather is going to be really nice....clear shies, no wind and cool at night. Lots of new snow in the upper elevations (above 9000"). Lots of Texas plates on the hunting rigs. This picture is the La Plata Mts from the road in front of my place.

The grocery stores in my area have been packed for the last couple of days.

Campers, trailers, SxS's, ATV's, you name it they are here.

Let the fun begin.

Another place I usually see a lot of Texas Plates is in Pagosa.

I didn't say but the vast majority of license plates in my area are from the mid west, I did see some hunters from New York.

Yeah, with it being the only true OTC option left in the west Colorado is going to be pretty busy.
