Now that I have an annual nonresident CO small game license I may take a weekend or two and try some upland game hunting up there. I was thinking quail and pheasant mostly. Looking at the southeast part of the state.

I know there are some walk-in areas that may hold the type of game I am looking for. If anyone has hunted that part of the state previously and would like to PM me with some general info regarding the terrain, hunting pressure or just general info it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That?s going to make it pretty darn tough. Damn tough even. SE CO isn?t much of an upland destination, although some folks do hunt it with success, but it?s hard. I can?t imagine trying it without dogs.

Well, I guess there is one way to find out. I'll let you know how I do. Thank you.
