That is odd it stopped working for being only a year old. Does it not turn on at all, or are the readings inaccurate?

The display is completely blank? Try holding the power button for 3+ seconds. Maybe it will reset it? Try the same with any other buttons it may have ex. (Mode) if all else fails dont panic! I have a vortex ranger 1000 display ill make a great deal on :)

Explain the situation to Nikon. Maybe they'll get one out to you fast. You could both overnight it, and have it in a couple of days.
A couple of years ago I had a set of Nikon Binos in a day pack. I was getting out of an elevated blind when I was hog hunting in Texas. I dropped it from about 10' to the ground, hit on the binos and broke them in half. On a chance I sent them back to Nikon and explained what had happened. Sent me a new pair to replace a 10 year old, beat up old pair...no charge! Only problem is can they get you a new one soon enough.

No wonder it doesn't work ivory since you have a range funder instead of a range finder ;) lol Maybe try leaving the battery out over night. I dont know if it will do any good but its the only thing that came to mind. The only range finder I would recommend is Leica.

Funny how we get to depend on all these "new fangled" things.Old Hunter and I are probably the only ones whos did most of our past hunting without an RF. I've only had one about 10 or 11 years. Used to depend on my eye and guesstimating ranges. I also limited my shooting to less than 300 yds......much less if I could, less than 100 was the norm:cool:

CC, did you two do archery back in the day as well? I find the range finder truly only helpful with archery since there is a bigger difference in trajectory of the arrow at short distances. I rarely use a range finder with muzzy or rifle, even though I do find them convenient to have.

Nope, never owned a bow in my life. My comment was not ment to be argumentative...just humerous!
I've never had one, but I don't bow hunt, or shoot farther than I can figure out the distance.
I didn't find your comment argumentative, just wondered if you two archery hunted. A lot of knowledge between you two, so I pick and prod when opportunity arrives, that's all.
