Possible new NV state record

I will say this. Ive seen alot of pics of this buck and I'm sure it will be close but I don't think it's going to make it.
Well I am going off of is that my buddy with that deer told me this July they had found a buck last year that was pushing the state record and this year they were going back to try and get him. I will have to talk to my buddy and get the whole story and the green score. I shot with Trevor in Ely and shot in front of Erik. I shoot with Gary too.

Don't get me wrong if any guide is going to get the state record it would be Trevor in Ely. I hope it is the new state that would be some great bragging rites to add to all the Elk they have taken.

I think people get caught up in scores way to much, regardless of score, it is a nice deer. Congrats to the hunter and the guides.

Well the reason I said possible is because the guy that helped out who is a good friend told me that the buck they were after would challenge the state record. Here is my buck that grossed 179 and netted 159 and this dude definitely beats it.

I am sorry guys I just can't see this deer below 190. I am no expert like all of you other guys as you guys have been hunting much longer than me but for some reason I can't see it. I have been looking at other 190 class deer IN velvet and I just don't see how he would score lower. JMO. No bashing intended to anyone and I don't want to offend anyone but I just can't see it.

That's cool Velvet. Maybe in the future when you post something like this say something like "Great Nevada Archery Buck" rather then "Possible new NV state record". Saying it's possibly the state record, it can only go downhill from there. It is a gorgeous buck and I'd take it in a heart beat.

I agree, beautiful buck and an great representative of a mature mule deer. Having said that, I would be highly surprised if it officially measures as high as what is first procalimed. It looks to net in the upper 170's to low 180's depending on beam length.......which is still a heck of a deer!
I absulutly agree that was a bold statement and I tried to be as curitous as possible to VF. I also would have no problum taking the buck as well but it is very obvious that this buck would not come close to the Nv record.That's cool Velvet.
