I'm new on the forum but I figured that I may be able to get good some advice. After 5 years of putting in for my youth cow tag for the Ochoco's I finally drew it this year. Needless to say I'm pretty dang excited to the unit this year. This is my last year as a youth and hopefully the first year I harvest an elk. The odds are in my favor due to the fact that I have from August first to mid December. I hunted the unit for elk two years ago for elk in the Rager TMA and around Big Summit Prairie and only saw a monster 6x6 bull. So basically I was looking for a few suggestions on where to find a cow in the unit. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and I look forward to meeting many of you!
