It was exceptionally warm for us over new Year’s in south Texas, highs over 90 and lows around 70 Sunday thru Tuesday. Saturday AM was reasonably cool, I killed the junkiest buck I have ever seen:
We had been trying to kill this buck for 3 seasons, only buck I have ever seen stay a spike several years in a row. I seldom shoot whitetails myself but this one has to go and I was alone.
Sunday afternoon my daughter caught up with a nice mature 10pt, one shot from her 243 did the trick.
Monday evening my son got an older 8pt:
Tuesday morning my son videoed a real nice buck that my wife wants to go after this coming weekend, hopefully we can find him again. Had to come back to town to work for a few days but headed back down on Friday.
