This past week, a record $6,432,500 was raised in one night for wild sheep conservation at the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) 47th annual convention in Reno, NV. During this exceptional night for conservation funding, a record $600,000 was paid at auction for a bighorn sheep permit issued by the state of Colorado, the highest amount for a sheep permit in history. The New Mexico Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep permit sold for another $600,000 shortly thereafter.

JJ was bidding on the tag. He did not get it. Dude at the table behind me did. And he paid $1.3M plus a 5% fee so NM got the full amount. Lot of whacked out misinformed math above with no substance or accuracy.

That $1.3 million amount is the total dollar amount of the Sheep Show auction not the amount for the NM sheep tag.
The NM sheep tag went for a paltry $600,000 o_O
Not true, last years NM tag soid for 600,000 to JJ. This years NM sold for 1.3 million by itself ( not to JJ)
