Hi All - I finally joined the forum. I've been reading from afar for awhile. Recently did my first western hunt - bowhunt for muleys in the Bighorns of Wyoming. Chose the location because it's an easy drive for myself (Minnesota) and my brother (Nebraska). Our goal is to hunt elk in Wyoming, but didn't draw a tag this year, so mule deer hunt was a great way to get started. Weather was terrible, but we learned a lot - and my brother actually killed a small buck. Already planning for next year's hunt! Thank you to everyone for all the posts, great source for us newbies. Hopefully I can offer some insight in the years to come.

Welcome to the forum, the best way to learn the area is continue to go there with boots on the ground. Congrats on the buck for your first trip.
