Just making a quick intro. My name is Marc and live in Southern California. I've been bowhunting now off and on for about 30 years. I have much to learn and hope to discover some new experiences and make some new friends here at Eastman's. Looking to start off 2016 properly with my new membership/subscription.

AKaviator, I just saw that you edited your post. I live in Huntington Beach. Where about in AK are you? I'll be up there this summer archery hunting Caribou. I have a friend that lives in Fairbanks.

I live in Anchorage now. I moved to Alaska 40 years ago but was raised before that in Laguna Beach! Are you doing a Haul road hunt?

Welcome Marc. I too am from southern California, I am a 4th generation Californio. I was born and raised in Downey, used to do a lot of surfing in HB back in the 50's & 60's. I played football at USC and am a retired aerospace engineer. Used to be a great place to live, but it "got discovered" in the 50's and the population exploded. I spent a lot of time in the High Sierras, hiked to complete Muir Trail in 1960. Take a look at my Profile and some of the deer pictures from the Sierras.

If you are ever in SW Colorado, come visit.

I was planning on hunting the haul road, but I guess my friend has changed plans. He said we'd be doing a tundra hunt. He's talked about both with me, but I've never done either so we'll see how it goes. I don't even know the differences of the two.

Laguna Beach huh? I think you made the right decision.

Wow! Old school stuff there. The pics are incredible. I can only imagine the way it was. How times have changed. HB still has great surf and I'm in the water as often as I can. I will definitely give you a holler if I get out your way.
