My dad drew a November deer hunt in unit 39. Basically it's south of i-40 from Moriarty to Santa Rosa and then over to Fort Sumner and back west to Willard. I have driven that stretch of interstate quite a bit and don't really ever recall seeing deer, lots of antelope.
Curious if anyone has hunted this unit and what your experience was like. There's a lot of private but also some good chunks of public too.
