looks like the wife may be tagging along this year, depending on if I draw a tag and if there is lodging. she's not a camper. looking at a lot of units right now and am curious what the lodging and traveling to and from is like for unit 75? I see there is one little motel in Shoshoni. it appears already booked. was unsure if there is some sort of cabin rentals or some hidden place ive been unable to locate online yet.

There is a bar/motel in Waltman. Has several small cabins they rent to hunters. Not much, but better than nothing. Don't remember the name...sorry. If you are hunting the western part of the unit, Thermopolis and Riverton are good options. You will have at least an hour from either one to get to the western edge of 75.

I stayed a night or two in both Riverton and Casper, when I hunted the unit a few years ago. It's about an hour drive, depending where you stay and what part of the unit you hunt. Considering you really don't have to be at your spot hours before light, it really wasnt that bad, the drive down 26 is easy in the morning.

The days inn wyndam is a great place to stay, very hunter friendly and above average food for a hotel. Has natural hot springs hottub. You can't go wrong staying there.

Thermopolis is the place alright. Days Inn is right in the Hot Springs State park. Very nice indeed. DO NOT go to Shoshoni or Waltman, your wife will hate you.
