I just got through reading an article in the latest EHJ written by a guy who hunted elk in NV unit 111 late rifle season. He took a great bull. So congrats to him.
But something he wrote made me laugh because he said the access was "extremely limited". I find that funny because almost every inch of that area is BLM or National Forest. Did he think the access was extremely limited because they couldn't drive all over the mountain?
Did the thought of actually having to walk make it seem too daunting?
I find it interesting how different the same area can be from someone elses perspective.

Wow ya that's crazy. I just got mine today. I'm going to find that article rite now and read it. How could access be limited?

perhaps he meant the tags were difficult to draw? I.E. limited entry?

All of our elk tags are limited entry and very difficult to draw. Hence his 13 year wait.
His exact words were "the country is very steep and has extremely limited access." I'm sure it was the steep part that extremely limited his access. The horror of actually having to walk up a steep mountain to shoot an elk.

Initial thought... who cares??? Funny how on hunting forums everyone thinks they are "hard core" and everyone else is a "road hunter". I bet the truth is if you met some of these guys, they are far from being "hard core". Lol!!!
