Get caught Poaching, Lose ALL your Bonus Points??

I don't know how each state operates, but I had the thought, that poachers should lose all their bonus points if caught.

Not sure how many poachers have built up a bunch of points, but could be a good deterrent.

What do you think?

I think that would be a good idea for specific violations, however it possibly creates an inconsistency in sentencing. One guy may have 2 points and another 15 points and get busted for the same violation.

In many cases I would think they deserve much more significant punishments in addition to that.

Sounds like a good idea to me. If someone with a boat load of points wants to be a poacher they must face the consequences.

Poachers don't care about points...they will continue to poach unless real world consequences are implemented. Big time fines and prison time are the only real deterrents. Points only matter to law abiding hunters.

I agree with a lot of the comments above. Most poachers don't care about points they just take an animal when they want season or no season.

I would think amputarion and gouging out their eyes would pretty much end it . at least there would be no second time offenders.
