full Moon or New Moon Preference

Getting ready to set my Elk hunting dates for 2017, what is your preference Full Moon or New Moon for Elk. Both have some advantages but which will keep the Elk on their feet the most during daylight hours. Have more experience with whitetail habits during this time but weather always plays a part. Have had some bad weather hit during the full moon on trips which can cause a bigger problem predicting when the game will be on their feet or move to lower elevations. Which phase do you like the most low light or full illumination. Thanks, Geno

search it, that topic gets brought up every year. you will hear everything you can imagine. I enjoy hunting full moon, something peaceful about it. when rut hits, rut hits, full moon or not, but again, my opinion. trial and error and own experiences is only answer to that question my friend.

What IT said......and to add.......they still have to eat, drink and sleep.....find the areas they do those things in and regardless of the moon you will be into elk.
