What was your favorite piece of hunting gear this past fall?

What was your most used piece of gear?

Let's hear it!

My favorite was my new enclosed cargo/hunting trailer. It worked great and I see many years use out of it.

My most used was probably my Garmin Oregon 450 GPS, used it all seasons, same as the years before.

A pair of Keen Targhee. Put a lot of miles of rough country under those boots this year.

They needed no break in and show almost no wear. Need to pull all the cactus thorns out of the soles.

My Winchester model 70 7mm extreme weather, it delivered a moose 1 shot, my first bull elk, 1 shot, and a nice mule deer 1 shot. I also couldn't have seen them without my Sawaroski el 10x42's.

Really like my new First lite base layers I got (didn't stink after 5 days!!!), but my old Browning .270 is still my favorite.

This is not a paid advertisement.

Love love love my Havalon Piranta...............I love the looks I get when I pull it out and some "flatlander" scoffs at it as he just carried around his 4lb knife kit. After boning out an entire elk.........the atttiude changes towards the little orange thing.

My Kuiu attack pants.......second year with them and really surprised how well they are holding up.

Nikon EDG VR 20-60 spotting scope and the 500mm-1750mm digiscope adapter. The vibration reduction is awesome. You can use it from a truck window without having to shut off the truck. It is also awesome in windy conditions. It is a little (actually a lot) on the large and heavy size however.

I second the new first lite base layers. Definitely my favorite and most used. I think the new outdoor edge/Eastmans knife is a very close second!

I really like my new Kenetrek mountain extreme boots! Broke them in early scouting and wore them all season. Very impressed with these boots! Also loved my Sitka storm front gaiters! Wet or dry I wore them every where. They are bomb proof!!

Binocular to tripod adapter... game changer for glassing. Why didn't I get one of these sooner???

Alaska Guide Creations binocular chest pack. Actually got this at the end of last season but only used it once. Got to use it the whole season this year from september to November. Love this thing! Carries my binos tight to my chest with a cover to keep them from getting dusty. I carry my GPS in one of the side pockets, extra shells (if rifle hunting) in the other side pocket and my camera in the front pocket. My license and ink pen in the back pocket. Even has an elastic pocket on the top flap to put my smart phone in. My range finder is in a separate case attached to the chest pack strap. Everything I need quick access to is right on my chest.

My favorite new piece of gear this year was a set of Altalok knee pads. Will never Antelope hunt without them.

My firstlite baselayer are some of the best i have ever used, i love them.
