Anyone hunted units 96-98 for elk? I want to hunt moose their in 7-10 years and thought about hunting elk in that area. My uncle and cousin hunt it once in a while and seem to tag out quite often. I would hunt moose for area 3 or 5. I know that it gets some heavy snow later in the season. Wanting to know if the general seasons are the way to go or to put in for the type 1 tags. Lots of elk or an extremely tough hunt. My uncle seems to luck out and catch them crossing the river not far from where they camp. Yep, one of those guys.
