Bainbridge Island Fishing

Slightly off topic for hunting but hoping for a little guidance.
Attending a wedding on Bainbridge Island in mid August. Thinking there might be good fishing in the area . Any suggestions on fish species/techniques/charter boat referrals for that timeframe?!

I never fished there, but had a blast walking thru the shallows grabbing Dungeness crabs. I think Silvers might be running around that time.

I'd contact Tyee Charters. A buddy had a good trip with them a few years back. There are salmon of various sizes in Puget Sound pretty much all year, so that is a possibility as well as halibut, crab, shrimp and Olympic Penn. rivers. Just depends on the regs and run timing. Ask them for ideas. Worst case you can drive to Taylor Sea foods in Shelton iirc, you can order most any shell fish there, alive or not. They have tanks where they keep stuff, as well as rafts of oysters, mussels, etc. in Hood Canal. Take some fresh live oysters home...they travel well if packed to stay cool, dry, and not touching anything freezing.
