General Statement Regarding this Hunt Area: Elk are scattered throughout higher elevations during September and October. Deep snow during late October often forces elk to lower elevations where they become accessible to hunters. As snow depths increases, migrating elk from Yellowstone National Park and Teton Wilderness move through the western part of this area. Grizzly bear densities are high in this area and hunters should be prepared to encounter bears on a regular basis.
Grizz issues and not for the faint of heart. Make sure your hunting partner is slower than you.
