Any Texas boys deer hunting today?

Not exactly a western mule deer hunt but bow season opened today in Texas.

Entertaining for me but no shooters. Small buck early, a doe and fawn, pigs squealing in the woods and I had a pack of coyotes after something just out of range.

Not what i was going for but I've had much slower days in the blind.

Not me, stuck at work until Wednesday!

I did just get back from a 10 day back country Elk Hunt in Idaho, didn't kill an Elk, but had a great time anyway. Plan to take out all my frustrations on Whitetails and Hogs when i get home from work.

Not in Texas. But Ohio's season opened today too. So far nothing for me.

Donny it's hard to sit in the stand after chasing them around the mountains. Not the same experience.

How did you pick Idaho for a western adventure? Just curious its not on my list of states to build points in.

Our season opens Wednesday here in Oklahoma. Im heading to camp 2morro. Once again not in texas but im close enough I could send an arrow to the south shore of the red!

Nothing for me. Blue bird days here. Weather is supposed to break this weekend going form 80 to 58 by Saturday. Hopefully that will keep them moving later and moving earlier.

Work2hunt - same for me.

I need a good 15-20mph north wind for my setup to work. Had no wind Saturday or Sunday. Had several deer walk around the feeder, none spooked just weren't interested in coming in.

If when hunting over corn there is no guarantee.
