I'm in the market for a new rifle. I have had my eye on the 7PRC for awhile. I am interested in seeing how many of you are running 20" barrels opposed to 24". I hunt the mountains of Colorado, spending much of my time in the backcountry.
hoping to hear your opinions on the backcountry. i have 2 on order currently. one for my wife, who is shooting a braked 30/06 and the other i may use on my 300RUM,300WSM, or my 243 AIWith the suppressor following growing like crazy I would go with the shorter barrel and then add the suppressor. The Backcountry from Silencer Central is what I am planning on trying out with with my 6.5 PRC this fall.
I will certainly try, the biggest thing is that I will have to make sure that I am clear on my opinion as I'm relatively new to this suppressor space on rifles.hoping to hear your opinions on the backcountry. i have 2 on order currently. one for my wife, who is shooting a braked 30/06 and the other i may use on my 300RUM,300WSM, or my 243 AI
thats even better, because these are new to me also. And its still just our own opinion. but thats good enough for me.I will certainly try, the biggest thing is that I will have to make sure that I am clear on my opinion as I'm relatively new to this suppressor space on rifles.
Thats going to be another rough conversation with the wife.........Suppressors are even more addictive than buying guns.
Remember it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.Thats going to be another rough conversation with the wife.........
I don't have one but from what I understand they do reduce felt recoil. I'm not sure if they reduce it as much as a brake but they reduce it.I have a question about suppressors. I have a .300 Wby Number 1 Ruger with a muzzle brake . Do suppressors decrease the recoil like MB's?
Yes, they do. A snappy pistol without one will be much more tolerable with one. A rifle with the right one will be much more pleasant all around to shoot.I have a question about suppressors. I have a .300 Wby Number 1 Ruger with a muzzle brake . Do suppressors decrease the recoil like MB's?
If you get the correct can it will be real close. My 9lb 300RUM is very pleasant to shoot with the can on, without it, could give some a flinch real easy. The other cool part is I don’t need hearing protection with the can on.I have a question about suppressors. I have a .300 Wby Number 1 Ruger with a muzzle brake . What can did you decide to go with?Ordered a Fierce Carbon Rival XP with a 22" barrel on 14 March. I'm still waiting for it to arrive.
