In reviewing the leftover tags, I see the phrase, "Quota transferred to D/F Deer Unlimited Species".
For example: Unit 24-8.
Curious if anyone can enlighten me on what exactly this means. Thanks guys!

I think that means Doe/fawn whitetail and that unit has unlimited tags for sale for whitetail doe/fawn.

I think this means they are good for any buck Region G.

It shows 3000 tags on the quota. I can tell you I have been on about all the public land in this unit. There is very little first off and no whitetail deer on any of it I saw. I think a guy that got this tag better have permission to hunt private land to have any chance of filling a tag. If you don't You will be very upset seeing all the whitetail deer on the private land driving to the public.
Funny story about this area. On the way to to hunt public land there was a fence line one side public one side private. You could see a mile up the fence line. There had to be 100 deer laying on the fence line. Care to guess how many were on the public side? Hard to understand but not a single deer. They know not sure how but they do.

I was only using this unit as an example. lol It's definately not in the cards, but trying to better understand the description as it's used on a number of units.
