Taking off this morning to AZ in search of javelina. Season started yesterday but the winter storm held me back for a day. Full report upon return.

You should have a better time with a rifle than I did with a pistol. The winds that we had were terrible.

Good luck on the hunt.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics. I've wanted to do a javelina hunt for a while now, I just need to make it a priority!

Hunting them in the snow isn't any fun, they are too easy to track and they stick out like sore thumbs.

But you have to hunt them when you have to hunt them congrats to the hunters.

This was the result of this years javelina hunt.

This was no easy hunt. Blizzard like conditions on opening day but I believe that's what got them moving the following day. Fun hunt, can't wait 'till next years hunt.

You need to try it with pistols and or a muzzle loader. It is a lot more fun when you need to get close to them. They are really easy to stalk as long as you move slowly and are down wind.

Once again congrats.

This last year during the HAM season you would of had to aimed 5' off of your target the way that the wind was blowing.
