062, 064, 066-068 Late Elk

A friend of mine drew a non-resident tag for 062, 064, 066-068 late elk in Nevada. This tag totally took him by surprise since he had only one point and was really expecting to just earn a point. He is wondering what unit or general area to focus on so he can get maps and do a scouting trip this summer. Has anyone deer or elk hunted that unit that can help us get him pointed in the right general area.

I haven't but 62 has some monsters in it. The tine length isn't the best in that area but the make up for it in mass. Good luck to your friend. If I can dig up some info ill PM you.

Ive seen some giants in the way northern tip of 062. They get big up there.

It seems like with NV bulls, its just finding that big boy. I know someone going up there for the early hunt so if I get any last minute info from them I will PM ya.

My Wyoming buddy drew the early archery tag (8/25-9/16) and with us both living so far from there we can't do any scouting. Any help on where to get started would be greatly appreciated because it's such a huge area! Thanks in advance for any help offered!!!
