Anyway you look at it, you still have a long wait. I find that it will drive me nuts obsessing on a particular date, so move on to other things, and there's always plenty to do in the spring. I don't like the early app. date for the WY elk tag, at at least you know real early what the results are. I have 3 tags in the wind, but already have a WY tag in my pocket. Good luck.

Has Colorado every released results before the published dates? It's been so long since I applied for a tag their under the previous system that I can't remember.

Earlier results can mean earlier disappointment.

You used to use the so called back door and see your results a week or so ahead of the actual announcement. But with the new post pay system your CC will get hit and you should know it, I believe that last year the CC hit and email was out the same day or very close to it.

As Rick says, don't sweat it. Knowing in early June is still early enough that you can start to make plans on what you are going to do.

I have three states that are up in the air. Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. I haven't put in my application for Arizona yet.

I don?t think it was early last year. I was hoping it would be so I could have those plans before applying for WY deer. That app deadline is 5/31, and I didn?t know in time.

Sure wish some of the states would tweak their dates to allow for easier planning. For example CO could move date 7-9 days back it?d give you a 1-2 day window to apply. As long as you already have your homework done the input would be simple.

Utah has been early the last few years. Even if they're not this year, you'll still have a day to get in your WY apps (May 30th is the published release date). Colorado was not early last year, I'm hoping it was because of glitches in the new system and that they release early this year.

Utah CC hits started hitting around May 11 last year.

Colorado on the other hand was in June.

So just apply for the hunts that you want to go on or just purchase points and not worry about it.
