    Late season antelope

I made it back from Wyoming. I learned a vast amount about antelope on this trip. This was a very trying hunt. We hunted 109. And let me tell you there is very little public land to hunt. It is hard to access. The animals will lay right on the other side of the fence after walking miles to check. I was proud of my son on this hunt. He was willing to put in the work and effort. We located a group just off I-90 on public. Problem was no way to get to them with out about 7 to 8 miles of walking. I told him this was his best chance. He said lets go for it. We parked at the access to the walk in area and headed out for them. When we got about a mile away I spotted the still in the same area. We made a plan and went after them. When we came up over the hill they spotted us at about 1200 yards and took off. We dropped below the hill and started running at an angle I thought we might get a shot. When we came up they were stopped. I knew it was a long ways. I told him to rest his rifle on his back pack and aim a full foot over ones back. He don't take long to pull a trigger. I heard the boom and then a wack and the antelope dropped in it's tracks. The shot was 550 yards. The rest of the trip we saw antelope run and leave the country when they spotted us at over 2000 yards.
As for the horns there were lots of bucks still holing that I saw on private.

Good job, being tenacious and not quitting paid off! That doe is 1000% more of a trophy than a buck you could have shot with a trespass fee.
