    Northern nm elk rut.

    Just wondering if anyone is seeing or hearing much action in northern nm. Headed up next week for muzz hunt and hope the new moon and possible late rut will help. I generally need all the help I can get. What do y?all think??

    I will add that they were going nuts on the 6th and the 7th. Tailed off after that. Got silent as the snow fell.

    Thank u bama! Had elk and antelope tag in nm and bear tag in Colorado this year. All filled! Really thankful for that. Now time to concentrate on whiteys here at home

    Congratulations on your success. Headed into the wilderness tomorrow morning hoping get on some elk soon. Little early but just trying to get ready for this weekend. Little more snow than we expected but nice to see it here

    Not sure how it was for you swampokie, but very little bugling for us last weekend 2nd season. Still some good sized herds around though.
