Well, I drew the Dep. bull tag for the Ruby's this year and have been out scouting in spots I have seen bulls in the past. Unfortunately this year a lot of water that is usually there is not this year. Haven't had much luck and it opens in just over a week. If anyone has any info and is willing to share I would be all ears.
Thanks.

When all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

Good luck. I know a guy that has killed some big bulls on that hunt but they pack way back to get to the bulls.

Thanks, I will be sure to update when I get back.

Yep, killed a 5x5. Saw 7 bulls total hunting 12 days scattered throughout a month and a half. Passed on all of them but 1 and by the time I hiked to him the wind changed and he blew out. Finally ended up killing a young 5x5 which I was happy to take. Lots of miles and long days glassing.
Good for you. Congratulations
It’s a tough hunt for sure. You did better then most.

Congrats! Those elk are few and far between. It must have been tough hunting in that early season heat.

Thanks, it definitely wasn’t a breeze. Saw quite a few cows too, hopefully I can draw it again.
