A couple favs from the hunter information sheets.

This area is very isolated, be sure to leave word of your hunting plans and locations.

Hiking and glassing will greatly increase your odds of success.
As hunting pressure increases, elk become more nocturnal.
When leaves are still present on trees, patterning elk during early morning and late evening hours will allow time to plan a successful stalk to intercept elk during the following peak of activity as elk move to and from bedding areas.

Significantly more deer and better hunting can be found away from roads.

It's fine if you want to give that one away, but I'd be real careful who you tell, "Bigger deer tend to have larger antlers."

Patience while glassing is a must in this high country mule deer habitat. Be patient, move less, glass more.

Anybody know if you can check a backdoor thing like Colorado's system. You can see if you lost your points before the draw is posted?? Good luck and God Bless

No back doors in Nv. I had hoped with the new company there would be something but they kept it slammed shut.

If you go into a new area be sure to set up near the deer crossing signs. An easy way to increase your odds.
