I'm surprised that Weatherby lasted as long as it did down in the Peoples Republic of California with all their rules and regulations and being a unfriendly state for firearms and now ammo.

    Way to go Wyoming.

I was actually thinking way back in 94 or 95 when they moved the Mark V manufacturing plant to the US that they were going to get out of California but they stayed there.

I have one of the first runs of a stainless Weatherby Mk V in .340 Weatherby mag from the US.

I'm surprised it took them this long to get out of California with all the regulations and crap they throw at firearm makers!

Looks like I'll have to take a trip to Wyoming next year to go hunting for a new rifle! Nice work on this!

I can't wait to get a rifle that says "made in Wyoming" on the barrel. Might have to trade my Vanguard for a new one.

California is going to loose lots of businesses.

    Good for them!

Sad day indeed. I remember the original Weatherby plant/store in South gate, Calif. I used to go there a lot. I went to school with Ed and his sister Diane in Downey, they are great people. Glad (and sad) to see them going to Wyoming. California is not the place I grew up and lived many. many years in.
