I'd still be broke after buying one of everything on that page.

Its hard to beat a 7mm caliber round. Ballistically superior to 30 cal and just as many bullet options. I grew up hunting with and shot my first elk with a 280 Rem. I have a 280 Ackley Improved which is a phenomenal round if you enjoy hand loading. You can get the same velocities as a low end 7 mag with way less powder. (3100 fps) 7mm-08, 280 Rem, 280 AI, 7mm Mag

It says that it can shoot 2 miles, not that you could hit anything at 2 miles.

Looking at a Shilo Sharps #3 ..in 45-70, 32 " bbl with Mid range Tang sight and Full buckhorn.......after visiting Big Timber a few years ago the 1874 is calling my name !

Also...so here is where I admit an error ...been working on "refining" my 300 wby load ...somehow I adjusted my seating die out and the OAL was too long to fit in the mag well. Accuracy went to hell and a 1/2 gun went to 1-1/2 and I couldnt figure it out. Until I tried to load from the mag ! What a dope ... check your dies and dimensions and take good notes and use them! In my feeble mind I assume that assembling the competition seater every time I used it caused me to make a seating stem adjustment that was not good.

I'm with you Dan. I've got a hot little Browning Long Range Hunter in 7mm mag- shoots lights out. Currently running 168gr Berger VLD over H-1000 with great velocity and accuracy. I started reloading last year and I've never had more fun or been more accurate at shooting both target and animals.
