I had a 28 Nosler built by Snowy Mountain Rifles last year with a Night Force scope and I love it! They did a great job but give yourself plenty of time to get it. If you’re going to have one built I’d check them out.

5pt bull elk, 5 yards. He was a satellite bull on the edge of a big herd. Would have loved a shot at the herd bull but couldn’t pass him up. Awesome hunt, great memories!

Western Conservation Hunting Show in SLC will have the manufacturers you mention in your post. I run the Kuiu Pro LT pack and love it. Even with the 7000 pack on it’s only 4lbs.

Beretta A400 or Browning Maximus. You can’t go wrong either.

I’d suggest the Kuiu Chugach, north ridge or Yukon depending on your needs. I’ve used all of them and they are great but the Chugach is my favorite.

I hunted elk in CO in archery season and noticed antler length much shorter than most years. I also saw more broken antlers and broken main beams then I’ve ever seen. The bull I harvested had good mass and was an old bull but short tine length. I also haven’t noticed the big bucks I usually see...

I would suggest investing in a good set of binos then saving for a good spotter. IMO if you buy a low grade bino and spotter you won’t be happy. You’re better off spending a little more on high quality glass. I’d second the Vortex Viper or Razor 10x42 and the Swaros are great glass but...
