    Mountain Lion Hunt With Dogs!

I totally get it that it can be a grueling hunt, often many days spent chasing dogs up and down some of the most rugged terrain the west has to offer. And I’m glad hunters are killing these predators, as they must be controlled. It’s just that by the time the shot comes, the animal has nowhere...

    2020 Fishing

I will probably ice fish locally 50 times this winter. We’re taking the family to the east cape of baha for 10 days in March, with 3 full day charters. Then spend as much time at our island cabin in Canada as possible, with numerous bass tournaments with my 2 boys. We fish a lot

    Mountain Lion Hunt With Dogs!

I fully support predator management in every form, and don’t have anything against guys who shoot bears and cats out of a tree. It’s a necessary way to hunt certain critters, but I don’t like watching it on tv. Anyone else cringe a little when they take the shot?

Looking to trade some whitetail information

For what it’s worth, I bowhunted many years in unit 14 greenwood county. November 5-15 normally, from dawn to dusk, and the biggest buck I saw was an 8 point that would have been really close to 150”. You’ll have your work cut out for you

    Another Poacher,,,

This is right in my neighborhood. Mr Douchbag has a rap sheet as long as my arm, and I’m hoping that since it occurred on the sovereign red lake nation, he’s going to get more than a slap on the wrist. The word Ojibway means ‘to roast til puckered’ regarding their treatment of captives

    A good book

I meant the number they would kill at one time. Like 6 buffalo and 4 elk, and only take the tongues and humps.

    A good book

One Man’s Wilderness written from the journals of Dick Proenneke. True life story of a man moving to twin lakes Alaska and building a cabin and filming everything he did. Undaunted Courage, another true story written from the journals of Lewis and Clark, mostly Lewis though. It’s almost funny...

Suburban bow deer cull, what I've learned

I’m sure you’re careful, but I think you’re asking for trouble hunting out of a ground blind in an urban area. Years ago I was walking a long way back on a logging road to get to my tree stand, and a grouse stepped out. I decided to shoot and took some feathers, but that arrow skipped, and I...

I already posted in the other thread, but I wanted to include everything so I can get entered in the contest. After both my boys tagged out opening day here in Minnesota, it was my turn to try killing a bird with the bow. So, second morning of season, I had close to a dozen birds gobbling...

    2019 Turkey Picture Thread

Got mine this morning, it was the one I hit yesterday morning. When the birds pitched down, this guy was hurting bad from yesterday’s arrow, and got hung up in the lower branches. So when we left the blind, he spooked to the ground and tried hiding in a fallen tree. Put another one through...

    2019 Turkey Picture Thread

My boys filled out opening morning. My 15 year old got his first archery bird, and my 12 year old got a big bodied bird by sneaking and calling behind our Tom decoy. I finally get to hunt now, and took feathers off a nice tom this morning with my bow. Just plain choked. We’ve got plenty of...

Shed Hunting Tips (for dog training)

I’ve always let my dogs chew on sheds and a couple days ago my 1 1/2 year old Jax brought a small shed back to the house after I let him out to chase squirrels.

    Fishing 2019

Got into some good crappies Thursday. I was by myself, and I’ve gotten into the habit of excluding any background in my pictures. Never know when someone will recognize a house or part of a shoreline.
