    Mountain Lion

Essentially almost every road is closed on Pole Mtn all winter by my house. Driving roads isn't really an option for the most part.

    Mountain Lion

If I can find tracks my first year of really trying, that would be a success for me.

    Mountain Lion

Deer by my house have a couple areas they winter kind of regardless of the amount of snow. This year there's probably 12-15" right now there.

    Mountain Lion

I have a dream to kill a mountain lion, solo, without dogs. I got snowshoes, I have a fox pro caller, and I got the occasional short notice day to take off when the weather is right. Besides LOTS of luck and patience, what else can you tell me to help me try and fulfill me dream!

What do you do with your horns/antlers?

$13 a pound? My son and me just weighed all our sheds, we have 41 pounds. Sounds like I need to sell them so I can but some new hunting gear!

If you go the antelope doe tag route look at areas that also have doe deer tags if your looking for additional time afield.

Anyone ever done a "safari-style" hunt in Wyoming?

It can be done. We killed antelope bucks, mule deer bucks, an a spike elk all within 15 miles this year. The elk was a total accidental run in, but we did it.

    2020 Family WY Antelope Hunt

If you can afford the special tag price for all those tags you definitely open up some additional areas that are worth your while.

    Grinders, Slicers, and the rest......

Whatever you buy for a grinder, make sure it's has all steel gears. The Cabela's grinders were fantastic, just not sure if there the same at the bass pro buy out.

How Young Is Too Young (To Hunt)

Kid should be able to hunt when their ready. I have one kid who absolutely was ready at 8 years old, cutting up meat, helping debone in the field, treated a gun with the utmost respect. I have another kid who I hardly won't let touch a gun on a bench at the range who's almost 10. If the parent...

    Thanksgiving Buck!

Made an unfortunate short notice trip back to Wisconsin for a funeral, so I decided to pick up my 11 year old son a deer tag since there $7. We would only have 1 or 2 mornings total to hunt, but I just thought it would be more of a nostalgic hunt on my dad's farm with my son. There was 8" of...

    Best hunting binoculars?

If your not looking to spend $1,000, your not going to get the best, or penalt even close to the best. Try finding a used pair on Ebay, or just buy vortex but know your rolling the dice there and may or may not need to use the lifetime warranty more than you'd like. Good luck!

    Just can't fix stupid...

Throw a few mud ducks in with zero hunting abilities in the middle of all that and the pot just keeps getting sweeter. 31 years in Barron before moving to Wyoming, Conibear is right i'm shocked there isn't actually more too. Beer and booze all day everyday.
