Looking for Taxidermist for Bear Rug in NW Montana

Any reccomendations on a good taxidermist in NW Montana to do a bear rug for me next month? I see prices ranging from $120 to $225 per linear foot. I would like to be near the lower end of that range but I want a quality rug. They need to in that part of the state or next door in northern ID...

Best Pack for Day Use + Hauling out Bear

I'm planning on solo spot and stalk bear hunting in NW MT next month. I plan to hike in and out each day so I will be doing a lot of walking. I am not a road hunter for sure but I don't have lightweight equipment for staying in the backcountry. My current pack is a fairly light 2600 size day...

Now that I am starting to hunt out West I am thinking of upgrading my bow to extend my range out to 50-60...

    WY Trip in May

Bighorn went up a rock face in seconds with seemingly no effort. Grizzly was 20 yds from my car. Antelope looks good for just May, will be a nice trophy in the fall. Lake is Yellowstone Lake. Too bad it was a cloudy day but temps were great for May. Hills are driving toward Jackson from Yellowstone.

Best MT unit for DIY spot and stalk bear hunt?

From what I've read it seems like the area on either side of the MT-ID border is the best general area to do a DIY spot and stalk bear hunt. I'm thinking about setting up a DIY trip next spring. On the MT side I think the best units #s are in the low 100s with maybe 106 being best. Any thoughts?
