    Ever use your snakeproof boots?

Just about the same scenario for me, going in to hook a pole and just happened to look down to see the rattler deflecte off the yucca that was between us. Took me a minute before I could move on, little bugger next rattled either.

    Ever use your snakeproof boots?

Do you have snakeproof boots or gators and had a snake strike them? What was the result, besides needing clean underwear? I've been stuck at once and the rattler hit a yucca plant and got deflected never making it to me. I was at work and was not wearing any snake proof gear.

Setup my 14x16 Davis in the backyard today. 90° sweat horrible doing it, but it's awesome seeing all the room inside! Every year I set up my wall tent regardless of how many times I've done it before. Had to put my tent up in the dark last year, it sure was nice just going through the motions in...

If you could change your profession, what would it be?

Got no regrets on my profession, it's actually given me more and taken me farther than I could have ever imagined. But if I inherited a couple million to buy a cash crop operation and have zero debt, i'd do that in a heart beat.

I've worked in telecommunications since pre 9/11. The amount of data gathering, data stored, and the foot print you leave regardless of your efforts not to let someone know your location, or what your doing are wasted minutes or hours of your life, trust me.
