CO; Moose, Sheep, or Goat? Pick 1.

I'm a non-res, so I have to front the full $1919 just to gain a pref point per specie! I'm considering applying for 1 of these 3 species this year, my question is which of the 3 should I start building points for? Trophy potential? ie if CO has B&C moose, ok goats, and terrible sheep, I'd more...

    Drought and Applications?

Does weather/droughts play a role in your applications? Also would you burn many points in a drought year or wait for a wetter year to risk burning many points on a great state/unit on an off year? http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/DM_west.htm Most of the west looks dry so far this year...

Should felons be able to bowhunt Utah?

In most states felons can bowhunt, not Utah however. Martha Stewart can't own a gun, what her crime has to do with guns/violence is beyond me, and why she wouldn't be allowed to bowhunt Utah doesn't make much sense if you ask me.

    Let's Poll It! Non-resident fees

What should we charge non-residents compared to residents? 1x, the same price as residents 2-7x, (ex.7x, $75 res, $525 non-res) 8-12x, (ex.12x, $75 res, $900 non-res) >13x, as much as possible, 43x more in some cases Choose as many choices as make sense to you.

Sitka Blacktail Deer experience in Alaska? Kodiak? etc...?

For some reason this hunt is high on my list/priorities, maybe because it's the cheap alaskan hunt, can be done without much expensive, no waiting for tags, can shoot up to 3 deers in some areas/seasons I think. Plus you can DIY it on kodiak essentially. If anyone out there has done this hunt...

    Grizzly Season?

Why can't I view comments to the question of the month/poll? Waiting to post results once the magazine comes out? I'd say share your thoughts here, but I don't want to skirt Eastmans' magazine when it comes out, either way I'm excited to read the results of the poll and comments in the...

    Southeast MT Public Land Mulies?

How have the past couple winters been? This winter? Last Winter? I know parts of this area were hit hard I think last winter or the winter before. If anyone has any block management recommendations perhaps, feel free to PM me. I'm not looking for a 200" booner, but would like a decent 4x4 to...

Non-resident tag fees out of control!

All states should agree to a multiplier of 10x or less. ie resident elk tag, $50, then a non-res elk tag would be $500. 1 horrible example is MT, resident elk tag $20, non-resident $794, that's a 40x multiplier!!! That means if you sell 1 non-resident an elk tag, you need to sell 40...

    Non-Resident Tag Fee Multipliar

Non-resident tag fees are out of control. I think all states should agree to charge non-residents no more than 10x what they charge a resident for a trophy buck/bull type tag. IMO most states discount tags for residents, ie most residents would happily pay more than they currently do, and...

    Don't get me started...

Seriously how do states come up with some of these fees? I was just reading in my latest issue of Eastmans' WY resident's pay $7 for a sheep and moose preference point, while non-residents pay $100 and $75 respectively. My issue isn't the disparity, but rather, where does $7 come from? Dare I...
