    Access Yes

I donate every time I apply for a license. On the years that I don't apply I don't donate just because I don't remember to do it. I have hunted lots of walk in areas and am very appreciative for the opportunity.

    Wilderness Archery Elk

Pretty much the way I hunt everything now days. I scout the other hunters, see where I would go to get away from them if I were a deer or an elk and that's where I hunt. Works well for deer, worked the one time we did it for elk.

    Happy Father's Day !!!

I lost my father when I was 17 years old. He was and still is my hero. Father's day has always been bitter sweet for me. It has been 30 years but I still think of him daily. He was an ex marine who taught all of us to shoot and hunt and how to be men. I am the youngest of 15 kids 12 boys and...

I wish these goofy gadgets would work. I have scars on all five fingers on my right hand from filing chainsaws.

    Advice for new .22 pistol

When the coyote came back to life in the back of the pickup truck it latched onto my brothers knee cap. Ruined a perfectly good pair of waders, and he broke a paddle trying to finish it off. We had many crazy stories like that which is why I now use a .22!

    Advice for new .22 pistol

I've been using a stainless steal Ruger 10/22 for trapping for about 20 years. As you said I am amazed at it's reliability. During trapping season I do not take as good of care for it as I should but I have NEVER had it jam or misfire, it has never let me down. I shoot cheap ammo through it...

    Opening The Can Of Worms...Coronavirus...

I decided not to apply. All of the Elk areas that I pay attention to in Wyoming continued to have point creep this year.

    Advice for new .22 pistol

Thank for the information! I have not handled one of those yet. I was thinking it was bigger, I will have to check that one out too. This is why I posed the question, there are so many out there and where I live I cannot go to a single store and check them all out at one time. I really...

    Advice for new .22 pistol

When I started trapping ~10 years old we would never shoot an animal in a trap because we did not want to put a hole in it. So I would typically take the barrel off of my single shot 20 ga that I carried and use it as a club. Some coons can take quite a beating, had and interesting event with...

    Advice for new .22 pistol

Thanks everyone, I am hoping to get one that will fit in a pocket. I do not want a holster as when checking traps I am in and out of the water and would like to keep it as dry as possible.

    Advice for new .22 pistol

Thanks Troy! Accuracy should not be a problem as I would only be shooting about 3 feet.

    Advice for new .22 pistol

I am looking at buying a .22 semi auto pistol. I want something light that I can put in a jacket pocket when checking traps mainly for dispatching coyotes. I have been thinking about the Walther P22 and Glock 44. I know Taurus also makes one. Anyone with experience with any of these I would...

    Elk draw

That's just wrong! In my opinion that is either unethical or incompetent. I would not be very happy. I am sorry you have to deal with this, I am sure it's like a kick in the balls.

    WY unit 7?

My son and I hunted this unit in 2018. We seen a good amount of decent bucks. My son was having a little problem shooting straight but ended up getting the job done. The Walk in areas had a lot of hunting pressure. We moved to some of the smaller pockets of National Grassland and were pretty...
