I would never trade any September hunt on the San Juan for any late season hunt. Anywhere. I spent a lot of time on Manti and Fish Lake the last few years and none of those hunts are work 20 points much less 30+!

Going to random makes it very difficult to PLAN you fall. Not all of us can take off work whenever we want.

I’ll be drawing an Utah limited archery elk tag. Got tired of tags being taken away and helped a buddy out who was right on the edge of drawing the unit he wanted to hunt. I had 5-6 points over what all the prognosticators figured would be needed so I’m pretty confident we will draw.
